Candee's Testimony

I was born in 1971 and since I was a little girl, I can remember painting.  On paper, on crafts, on walls (when momma wasn't looking), anything that needed a little color... it got it.  I engulfed myself in art from middle school through college, and graduated with a degree in "Fine Arts" in 1993.
In 1994, I started my own mural business called "Mural Masters".  I have painted murals in homes, churches, and business for over 19 years.  That business has been a blessing to me... but this is where the story changes.
While at a "Worship Conference" in TN. in 2006, I saw for the first time during service, someone "worship painting".  The conference lasted for 3 days, and by the end, he put up the piece for "silent auction".  I watch the artist pray, dance, kneel & bow, read the Bible... all while he painted.  I knew then, that was for me... God laid it on my heart to "paint for Him", and through blessing Him through my art, He would then bless others.
Well, five years later, Fall of 2011 & I still had not attempted to worship paint. Excuses...mostly fueled by insecurities.  Then, in October, I was commissioned by my music pastor to paint "ABSTRACT ART".  I have never painted abstract!  Not my thing... I thought... but it's not about me... right?  I have always been what I call a "controlled" artist, "in the lines"... or a realistic artist.  I painted a car to look like a car, flowers to look like flowers, animals to look like animals... you get the idea.  I also, have always shown the client a mock drawing of exactly the mural they would be getting before I even started painting.  The client knew what they were getting.
Abstract... Worship Art... Talk about being out of my comfort zone!  Now, God has challenged me to take a blank canvas and just paint with no plan!  You see, I knew this 5 years ago, and that's why I was so intimidated to try.  I am use to doing it my way, and how I know to make something look good. The truth is... I was controlled or you could say... I was in control!
What I found out, is that there is FREEDOM in the NOT KNOWING or NOT BEING IN CONTROL!  What I was so afraid of, has given me such a creative release!  This year I turned 40, and God literally told me, "For 40 years, you have done it your way... now are you ready to do it mine?".  Oh my!  Did it actually take me 40 years to go around that mountain?
Recently, while ministering in Florida, I was told that this is "NOT ABSTRACT ART"... which could mean "without order".  We know that God is a God of order, and it was now to be called "Prophetic Painting".  There are messages that come from each art piece for one individual, or many.  Ms. Bonnie, thank you for revealing this to me.
Now, with only a paint brush in hand, or no paint brush at all, I venture into a new worship experience to literally give God back a talent that He has given me.  I am so thankful for my awakening, & my prayer is that this testimony awakens something in you as well.
In His Service & Love,
Candee Potter Masters

PS.  A special thanks to my wonderful husband, Lindsay, for his amazing support!  To our precious children, Makenzee & Paul-alan, for their patience "while mommy is painting".  To my beautiful parents, Paul & Jeanette, for always telling me to follow my dreams, and doing whatever it took to see them come true!
Then, to my precious friends that were with me in TN, that always told me... "You can do this, Candee".   You were apart...of the start!  Also, to my friends and family that were at my "First Worship Art Reveal" at Covenant Bible Church.  You gave me confirmations, and encouragement! Pastor Todd, for being the "Aaron" when I was going through my "Moses" experience.  Last but not least, my Father God, for giving me a gift that I want to always bring Glory to You.

How To Acquire Your Own Worship Painting

3 WAYS
* Worship Paintings can be privately commissioned.
* Can be purchased by price shown beside of available pieces.
* Church & Special Event Ministry.

* Private Commission (Painted in Home Studio):
1st) You pick the worship or praise song that has a special meaning to you. I then paint to the song that you have chosen... bringing more meaning to the art for the individual.

2nd) We make an appointment to talk about your colors for your home, and size of the area you want to place the art.

3rd) I will be able to give you "estimate" based on the size that you choose.  The cost may vary due to time spent on painting the piece.

4th) It takes FAITH, on your end and my, to believe that the Holy Spirit, will lead me to paint what you are suppose to have.  I have no preconceived ideas before I start painting to the song chosen, or what the end result will be.

5th) I pray, and I journalize as I go along, and trust that it is the message God wants you to have through the painting.  Included with the painting, will be my journal & interpretation of what I saw as I painted.

6th) Each piece is signed on the back.  I do not want my signature to draw your eye from the message of the worship art.

* Purchase Price:
The other way to acquire your own painting is to purchase one of the art pieces featured on this website.  It will say "Available, Size & Price" beside of the title.
These paintings come from when I paint in my home studio, during worship. I know that these paintings are not meant for me to keep, but for someone else.  I may love the message, and the art that appears, but more importantly, I know that it's meant for me to share the message... it may just be for you.
Please contact me if you are interested in a piece and have more questions, or just need to share something you see revealed in the painting.  I love to hear how so many things can be revealed to so many different people.

Email me at candeemasters@yahoo.com or you can find me on Facebook at "Candee Masters" and ask to join my FB group called "The Masters Touch" where you will see the latest paintings, and get updates if I'm doing a "live" painting at a church or event near you.

*Shipping not included in price shown; will be adjusted to your location.

* Church or Special Event Ministry
This is a ministry where I come to your church, conference, or special event and paint during praise & worship. (Around 45 minutes) I am usually located on the stage to the side, while the praise band and Music Pastor leads worship.  I am there to worship WITH your congregation... except instead of a musical instrument, song, dance or flags, I have a paint brush.

After the service, the painting may be obtained by the church or an individual for a "Love Offering".  Expenses to travel are the only required cost for me to come minister through prophetic worship painting at your location.

Please view paintings below that were done at different churches, locations, events, or for private homes.  Covenant Bible Church, Grace Tabernacle, Motivated by Love Ministries, Crisis Pregnancy Center Banquet, The Lampstand, CaroMont Health, Suncoast Cathedral, & Gaston Dental. I am grateful to be able to inspire and encourage others to give God back the talents He has given them through creative arts.

"I Am Not Alone" 24 x 48 (Private Commissioned for Michelle Hawkins)

I was lead by the Holy Spirit through ten worship songs chosen by Michelle to paint a prophetic piece for her, but this painting quickly became the essence of one of her songs,, "I Am Not Alone",  by Kari Jobe. Many things are still being revealed to Michelle in this painting.
To God be the Glory...  the greatest artist of all.

“As I began to put the brush to the canvas of my first painting, the rhythm of wind was immediately apparent to me. From that painting, I then envisioned a theme for this collection called,
“Elements of Nature”…. leading me to be inspired by different traces of creation

"New Life" Worship Painting, in Honor of Haskle Good, 44ft x 15ft

This painting was commissioned by "Rock Fitness" in Lincolnton, NC, in honor of their "Fitness Guru"... Mr. Haskle Good, whom went home to be with Our Lord, in 2014. The painting took shape through "worship painting"... with no pre-planned drawings or ideas. It began to develop into a 44ft x 15ft, painting over 5 days of worship to our King Jesus, with only a paint brush in hand, and a heart of surrender. I felt that the mural came to life... from the dark hole at the bottom, representing death, to the large movement of vibrant colors, vines, waves, wind, flight... all representing... "New Life". It was my largest "abstract worship painting" I have ever done, and it was a privilege to paint my first mural in memorial of a wonderful person... Haskle Good. Thank you again Kendi, Jane & Jerry, for trusting me with such a personal piece. I am grateful to you all, & to God be all the Glory, Honor and Praise.

"I Belong To You" 30" x 40" For Sale

Painted this piece during worship to our Father God, to the song called "Abba".  I just put a song on repeat and paint whatever comes out of my personal and intimate with Him.  I'm just learning to love on the Master, and work from His favor... not for His favor.  God loves me... you... more than words that can be written, or by the strokes of the brush that can be seen.  He is wondrous and glorious... and we are all children that belong to Him.  Question is... do you call Him Abba?

" I saw His blood... but in a washing motion. As I listened to this song, I was moved by the cleansing flow of His blood that covers our sins. It washes me... cleans me. Thank You Lord for Your blood that sets me free! Thank You Father for setting my loved ones free, and the world free from the sin that bounds them. If they ask, they will receive. Thank You Jesus for loving on me again as I painted, and I pray others will feel You loving on them as they view this painting." Candee P. Masters

In the Presence Of Jehovah 24" x 30" Sold

Artist Jounnal Entry: "In the Presence of Jehovah"  02/23/12
As I listened to this song... I immediately saw blues, greens, & golds. I started painting the blue first, and then the gold. It really felt like a "tug of war" between the colors... and how to paint them. Whites are for troubles vanished... golds are for the presence of my King... blues represent distress.
One line in the song spoke so loud and clear to me. ("Don't give up in despair, just slip away and breathe His Name, you will surely find Him there.") It was my heart cry... as I cried and painted through worship to my Jehovah.
Now, for some reason... in which I have never had this feeling before... I heard in my spirit.... "Turn the painting". I have always displayed the art the way I painted it... this time was different. I am not sure why... I can't see it yet... but I know someone will.
I needed to paint through worship today... I longed for it... I longed to feel Your presence Father & I hope that You felt mine. Peace..."In the quite moments, just let your soul dip into His supply... it never runs dry."

"He's My Warrior" (Sold)

Click Below To Listen To Worship Song That Inspired This Painting.

This was painted during a live praise & worship service at Covenant Bible Church, in Lincolnton, NC.  When I normally worship paint, I do not know what the message is, or what the painting will look like. This was the first time I felt led to actually paint an object that was recognizable... which was a sword.  Later, I realized that I was doing spiritual warfare of things to come.

"Blessed Assurance" Two 48" x 24" / Sold - $375.00

Artist Journal Entry: 01/11/12
"The first thing  I saw was a time-line... (My story), but  instead of a straight line,
it has movement.  It starts bottom left... one being born, continues to top right hand of second painting, being assured of going to Heaven.  The swooshes coming off of the main time-line, were inspired by the saxophone ... (My Song).  They represent the movement of the music... one's life. The white dots at the beginning, turn into one, continues across the time-line, then back into many... this represents (one) coming from God's Kingdom, time on earth, and returning to His Kingdom once again.  God said, "He knew us before we were conceived in the womb". Jeremiah 1:4-5.  We came from God, to Worship God, to return to God. The gold shimmer paint is inspired by the "foretaste of His Glory to come." Blessed Assurance, that we will be with our Savior, Jesus Christ... I will praise Him... all the day long... all my life long."
